Revs Institute Tours

Revs Institute is delighted to welcome conference attendees to explore the museum, library, and archives. Revs Institute will offer tours of the museum, as well as behind-the-scenes tours of areas that visitors usually do not see. Attendees interested in exploring Revs Institute’s workshop and library must reserve their spot on a tour while registering for the conference, as there is limited space on each tour. Each tour of a specific area will be offered more than once during the conference. Please note, certain areas of these behind-the-scenes tours are only accessible by stairs.

Galleries

Guests will be able to view the four galleries at Revs Institute. As you explore 80,000 square feet and three stories of exhibits, you will discover an exceptional collection of rare automobile treasures, related objects and artifacts that changed the course of history. Within Miles Collier Collections, there are more than 100 automobiles that are divided into four thematic galleries: Automobility, Vitesse, Revs, and Porsche. The automobiles are fully operational and displayed free of protective barriers, allowing visitors unobstructed access.

Workshop and Parts

Revs Institute Workshop ensures that the over 100 historical, exceptional automobiles housed in the institution remain operational and at museum quality. Take this behind-the-scenes tour to learn how expert technicians provide extraordinary care and attention to the preservation of these automobiles. Walk throughs of the paint shop, fabrication area, and Revs Institute Learning Classroom are included on this tour. You will also see how the parts department manages care and inventory control for tens of thousands of items. Please note that portions of this tour are only accessible by stairs.

Library and Digitization

The behind-the-scenes tour shows how Revs Institute integrates inventory control, arrangement and description, digitization, metadata, and more, to provide a fully integrated library for patrons, worldwide. Please note, portions of the Library Tour are only accessible by stairs.
